NVPFA periodically offers workshops to members and the public promoting the safe and effective use of prescribed fire for cedar control and other land management goals.

Training Burns

Every spring and fall NVPFA conducts training burns to help members get up to speed on the proper methods of putting prescribed fire on the landscape.

Tours

It’s important to see the results of applying prescribed fire to the landscape. Each summer NVPFA conducts a tour of areas that have been burned the previous spring and in prior years.

During training burns NVPFA members learn the basics of fire behavior, how to implement a burn prescription, and how to operate equipment safely.
